TCG at its Best

Special thanks to PokéBeach and PokéGym for the images.

Today TCG Players all over the world are having trouble on having their Decks tuned up for the HP-On Modified format. It requires cards that will cover all EX expansion from Holon Phantoms to Power Keepers and DP expansions from the base Diamond and Pearl up to the future releases.

Since there are modifications in the weakness and resistance of Pokémon on DP expansion, most of the trainers are using DP Pokémon as their new prime attackers. This really means "Bye bye Delta Species, reign of Sinnoh Pokémon start!" New Pokémon Lv. X and powerful PokéPowers and PokéBodies, what more can you ask for!

Trainer line haven't changed a bit, leaving the legendary Holon Engine along the way. Since EX Delta Species expansion is rotated out, many of the powerful trainers vanished. But again, DP expansions is the "Start of Something New" in Pokémon TCG. One of the greatest addition is the so-called Holon Farmer reincarnation, Night Maintenance from DP-MT. (See the Picture)

Energy line is still solid. With the addition of new basic energies, Metal and Dark, the game play is now more enjoyable. We are hoping for more special energies. (A special Psychic Energy? Hmm... is that possible?)

As a summary, Pokémon TCG is becoming to be bigger and better. Having all the new addition and all new gameplay it is a good experience for both beginners and professional.

My 8 Random Facts

I was tagged by jhay to do this 8 random facts about me. The rules are quite simple;

  1. you share 8 things that your readers don’t know about you then at
the end, tag 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going. Each blogger must
    post these rules first.
  2. Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
  3. At the end of the post, a blogger needs to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
  4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
My 8 Random Facts:

  1. I associate numbers with Pokémon! *Wahaha* I often do this when memorizing number codes and others... like Blastoise,Sandshrew,.... is 0927... (Wierd!)
  2. I can eat two double-sized Hawaiian Pizza! I love Hawaiian Pizza a lot.
  3. I love codes! My colleagues call me Code Master for many reasons: I use Morse Codes at my messages, I use the Pokémon Unown as Letters, I memorized Naruto's Hand Seals and more! (Huh? Tao ba ako?)
  4. I'm a Computer Geek! I already won lots of computer related events such as Quiz bees, Graphic arts, Web programming and similar. (Genius? Hindi, pakialamero lang ng computer ng may computer, yun, natuto tuloy...)
  5. I can see those you can't see! I Have this weird eye of mine that can gradually see others' aura and the spooky part is... I can see spirits and lost souls! (Scary but now I used to it.)
  6. I'm Kid inside a Matured Boy. (Huh?!) I often wind up over animé and my beloved Pokémon but in class, I'm a well respected Academic Scholar. (Magmayabang ba naman?!)
  7. I can't sleep without a blanket! even in the hottest nights I'm with my blanket, swear!
  8. I eat only the middle part of the rice from the cooker! I don't know why but my tendency is to eat only that part.
What a weird person, you may react but that's me! *Wahaha!*
Now, I'll be tagging Kamae, Ron, Kev, Kuya Micael, Patrick, Anjo, Jesmon and Ate Konrei

Pokémon TCG Diamond and Pearl: Mysterious Treasures

The arrival of the next DP expansion, Mysterious Treasures, is really making noise. It features additional 120 cards and 3 new Pokémon Lv. X such as Lucario, Magmortar and Electivire. Its Theme Decks, Armor Fortress and Skull Charge are based on the two fossils of Sinnoh. It also houses the Psychic Trio, Azleaf, Mespirit and Uxie, that has devastating prowess when played together.

Due to the late release of the first Diamond and Pearl set, Mysterious Treasures may also take time before it reaches Philippines. But with all this new and powerful cards, I guess, it's worth waiting for.

The Ultimate Dream

I do believe that I have the weirdest dream of all. I just wanted to be an International Icon.

To do so, I wanted to finish my Engineering Course, pass the Board Examinations and practice my profession. After that, I wanted to take some units to teach. I really wanted to share my knowledge to others. Then, when everything is stable, I wanted to have my own business, maybe some franchise like Neutral Grounds or Netopia. And upon doing all these, I wanted to go to the World Championships to compete.

All these I wanted to be. May God permit me to do so...

Being an Engineering Student

Being an engineering student isn't that easy at all. Vast Math related subjects ranging from College Algebra to Calculus. Also, being a scholar at the same time sometimes really makes me faint inside. Its a must to have grades no lower that 2.0 (87-89) or else, I'll be a plain paying student as the others are. Well, my institution won't give free tuition fees, miscellaneous fees and Php 1000 allowance per month for nothing. We scholars must at least be at the Dean's List.

Thank God at this point of time I'm still a full scholar. I'm a Dean's Lister last two semesters, and still hoping to be one this whole second year.

Sorry, if I really can't update this blog and Shadow Point regularly. But still, I can really budget everything up.

For those unposted articles stocked in my USB Drive, please wait for the right time. you'll be posted in a while when I make things stable.

Every Trainers' Dream

Everyone involved in Pokémon really wanted to be part of world events such as the Pokémon Trading Card Game World Championships 2007 or simply Worlds that will be held in Kona, Hawaii on August 10-12, 2007.

Through this context, one proudly Pinoy Trainer had the privilege to be part of this grand event. Joshua Doctolero got an Invite to the elusive Worlds this year. Garnering experience and points in Leagues and Tourneys, he became one of the most fortunate Trainer ever to have this opportunity to represent his/her nation. Now the Philippines has its own delegate. Other invites were given to 3 Australians and 1 Malaysian.

We, your co-trainers in the Philippines, are praying for your success in the Worlds. Make Filipinos be proud of you!
